News: Need For Speed announcement due today - is it a new game?

Last night, the publisher told followers that they would find out today what the Need For Speed team had "been dreaming up", later asking one fan whether they were "looking forward to our announcement tomorrow".
"Be sure to check in with us tomorrow when we share what we've been dreaming up here at #NFS," the account added.
While this year's Need For Speed title could be announced today, the announcement is most likely linked to DLC for last year's game Need For Speed: Rivals, which has yet to see any substantial content released following November's launch.

The idea of small 4-player races in Need For Speed Rivals was a bit frustrating at first until they continued to offer intense racing action! Car customization is decent but could have used a bit more personal touch. The weather effects are gorgeous. The site claims that EA dismissed the studio's contractors last week and told full-time employees that "they could either take compensation and leave" or support development on a "police-themed" Battlefield title allegedly in the works at Visceral.
It isn't known how many people have been affected or whether the title's suspension will disrupt the scheduling of this year's Need For Speed.
Ghost Games UK is mainly comprised of former Criterion employees, and was formed after the studio splintered during the development of Need For Speed: Rivals.
